“A little history, and a rant.”

Today on the show, I share a couple of excerpts from one of my collage textbooks. The book is called “Black Notes” and it was written by my African Studies professor, William Banfield. This book discusses the evolution of black music in America. I feel like it’s important for a music podcast like mine, to educate people on the history and important impact black music has had throughout American culture.
There is also a rant on Facebook word policing and social justice warriors that may or may not make any sense… I really hope it does. Facebook and Twitter has evolved into this place in which you’re not allowed to be anything other than perfect. Where, Even though you stand for something good, you can be torn down for something you said when you were 16. A place where we yell at one another and never listen and try to find any common ground. Who are these perfect people? I’m definitely not one of them. Enjoy the episode!
